Happenings: Shelby Park Development Plan

The Metro Parks Department is holding a Master Plan public meeting to get input on the development of Shelby Park. Parks is specifically soliciting participation in this process from neighbors and stakeholder groups. This is the kind of meeting that will break up into small groups to develop our vision for the future of the park.

I plan to attend to personally lobby for inclusion of a "Small Dog Park" in the plan. If you want to pass along ideas to me to take to the meeting that would be great; but, it would be great to get a big turnout and help set the direction for the park.

Location: East Literature Magnet School (Downstairs Cafeteria)
Time: 6:30 pm
Date: Thursday, February 5

Inquirer's Class at Eastwood Christian -- January 11

Sunday January 11, Pastor Jay begins a two-week Inquirer's Class for people wishing to know more about Eastwood Christian Church (the church that gave our neighborhood its name). January 11 explores the traditions of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) -- the first non-denominational movement on American soil -- an open-minded, justice-oriented, positive-thinking approach to Christian tradition. The class runs from 9:15-10:10 in Eastwood's educational building (where ENA holds meetings). All are welcome.

Subscribe to Eastwood Neighbors News RSS Feed

We are in the process of moving the Eastwood Neighbors website to Blogger. You will still use the www.eastwoodneighbors.org web address, but it will be pointed to Blogger. You can also reach it at www.eastwoodneighbors.blogspot.com.

On the right sidebar you can subscribe to the RSS Feed either by selecting your reader or by simply entering your email address.

This will only be posted on the blog. If you would like to receive an email reminding you about these meetings and events, you will need to subscribe to the RSS Feed.
