“Improvement District” plan would promote development along Gallatin Road
The Planning Commission is scheduled to vote later this month on a plan which would set development standards along nearly all of Gallatin Road between South 5th Street and Briley Parkway. Councilmembers in that area proposed the “Gallatin Pike Improvement District Specific Plan” and set general principles, and planners have drawn up draft standards for building design and placement, signage, landscaping, access, and several other issues.
