Eastwood Red Bud Project

Some of you may remember the discretionary fund money that our councilman, Mike Jameson, kindly made available to his constituents ealier this year in an effort to let the people decide how the money should be spent. After many neighborhood meetings, brainstorming, and voting of ideas, Eastwood's idea of a mass tree planting for unification/beautification was chosen. The Red Bud was selected as the neighborhood tree. As part of the discretionary fund, a limited number of free trees are available for this project.

However, in an effort to both an effort to increase the number of trees ultimately planted and to give every neighbor the opportunity to participate, Eastwood Neighbors Association is having a fundraiser for those who would like to purchase a tree for a donation of $40. This not only gaurantees you will get a tree, but will also allow you the freedom to plant your tree wherever you would like. All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit Eastwood Neighbors Association to be used for newsletters, website fees, clean-ups, and other neighborhood projects, including helping our pencil partner, Cora Howe Elementary.

If you would like to purchase a tree or have questions, please email ENA at trees@eastwoodneighbors.org for an application. ALL TREE ORDERS MUST BE RECIEVED BY OCT 20th!

Please know that even if you purchase a tree, you can still go into the drawing for one of the free trees that is part of the discretionary fund project. More information on the process of for the free trees will be on the website shortly.
