Bailey STEM Magnet Updates

Hello Bailey STEM families! We hope you had an enjoyable, yet restful Thanksgiving!

Just a quick update on what has been going on at Bailey STEM.
**The Nashville Ballet recently visited Bailey STEM and gave a performance based on the book, Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl. When asked if our scholars had read the book, most of them raised their hands, so they were quite familiar with the story line.
**We hosted a Grade Speed workshop for parents/guardians who wanted to learn more about how to maximize the great features Grade Speed offers and for parents who wanted to set up Grade Speed for the first time. If you are interested in learning more about Grade Speed and didn't get a chance to attend the first workshop, drop me an email at Esperanza.mcraryATmnpsDOTorg.
**Recently our scholars exercised their right to vote in a mock trial during the November Presidential election. Our scholars were quite excited about this opportunity. We ope they will continue to do so once they turn eighteen.
**Representatives from Bailey STEM participated in a health and wellness fair at Stratford STEM Magnet High School where the community was invited to participate in several health-improvement activities.
**Flyers about the Bailey STEM Magnet yearbook sale will be sent out soon.
**Vision and Hearing screening will take place in January. Notice about these screenings were included in the student handbook that went home at the beginning of the school year. The date for the screening is to be determined.
