Joint Eastwood - Rolling Acres Information Session on Contextual Overlay District Proposal Set For Thursday, 11/13

The Rolling Acres and Eastwood neighborhood associations are hosting a joint neighborhood information session on the Contextual Overlay District ordinance that was recently approved by the Metro Council. The information session will be held on Thursday, November 13th, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the main sanctuary of Eastwood Christian Church, 1601 Eastland Ave.

Several residents in both neighborhoods expressed a desire to learn more about this ordinance. Based on these inquiries, the two neighborhood associations are creating a study area for streets between Powers Ave/Porter Road and the CSX railroad tracks north of Eastland and from 20th Street to the CSX railroad tracks south of Eastland.  The neighborhood associations will analyze how the Contextual Overlay ordinance would shape future development in this area and will survey property owners in this study area to determine the level of interest in applying for a Contextual Overlay District.

Owners of properties in these boundaries are encouraged to attend the information session on 11/13 and to contact Brett Withers using the link on our website with any questions or to obtain a property owner survey.  Surveys ar due to Brett by Saturday, December 6th.
