Metro's Citizen Police Academy taking applications

Nashvillians interested in learning about the inner workings of their police department and its enforcement and investigative strategies are invited to apply for the 24th session of the Citizen Police Academy, which begins its 11-week run on August 30th.

Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6-9:30 p.m. through Nov. 15 in the community room of the Hermitage Precinct, 3701 James Kay Lane.

Class size is limited, and the deadline for applications is Aug. 19.
