Updated: September 22nd, 2012 Hands on Nashville Day at Bailey STEM Magnet School a Success!

Update: The Hands On Nashville day event was a great success! Over 30 volunteers came out to work at the school, including students, parents, alumni, and neighborhood volunteers. Everyone's efforts to beautify the campus, which is at the heart of Eastwood, are greatly appreciated. September 22, 2012, is Hands on Nashville Day and Bailey STEM Magnet is one of the recipient schools of this free service. The event is from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon. We are asking parents and other volunteers to join us and the Hands on Nashville staff to plant flowers, mulch, and improve the Bailey grounds. We also are in need of donated items for the beautification such as, flowers, mulch, etc... Our goal is for our scholars to be proud of their school, not just of the work going on inside, but that the facility also becomes something to be proud of! Hands on Nashville is asking that all persons interested in volunteering register at http://www.hon.org. Please sign-up and bring a friend if possible. All registered volunteers will receive a HON Tee Shirt. Thank you so much for your willingness to help and for your support of the NEW Bailey STEM Magnet!
