Eastwood's Conservation Zoning Overlay Approved By Metro Council At Tonight's Public Hearing

Eastwood's Conservation Zoning Overlay expansion proposal was approved by the Metro Council at tonight's public hearing for the second reading of the bill. Quite a few neighbors wrote to the Council Members expressing support and a large number of neighbors came out to the Council meeting and raised their hands in support of this measure. Eastwood Neighbors President Brett Withers thanked the Metro Council members for including funding for additional Metro Historic Commission staffing in this fiscal year's budget that made this conversation possible.

The measure still needs the Council's approval upon the bill's third reading on April 15th, 2014 before Mayor Dean will sign this bill into law. Stay tuned for further updates.
