The Planning Commissioners unanimously approved Eastwood's Conservation Zoning Overlay expansion proposal at their March 27th, 2014 hearing. Quite a few neighbors came out to the hearing in support of the Overlay expansion. No one expressed opposition, and so the item was passed on the consent agenda.
The third and final public hearing will be before the Metro Council. That hearing will take place on Tuesday, April 1st at 6:30 PM at the Metro Courthouse, 1 Public Square. Neighbors are encouraged to attend that public hearing to express their opinion on the Overlay to the Metro Council, whatever that opinion might be.
Eastwood Neighbors is a charming, urban residential area characterized by early- to mid-20th century single-family residences and multi-family units representing a range of architectural styles. Eastwood Neighbors, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 1992 by community members.
