I am saddened to report that our lovely neighborhood crossing guard, Joyce Sawyer, who stood for many, many years on the corner of Greenwood Ave and Chapel Ave has passed away.
Memorial and Funeral services were held last week.
Joyce was a bit of an institution on that corner. She always had a kind word or a bit of neighborhood news to share and delighted in watching many of our neighborhood children grow.
She will be missed.
