Bailey STEM Updates: Faculty Accolades, Call for Christmas Angels

Eastwood's zoned middle school, Bailey STEM Magnet, deserves your support.  The faculty and scholars are working hard and are receiving accolades.  Please join your neighbors in bringing holiday cheer to some of our neediest students, and in congratulating Bailey STEM teacher Julie Hasfjord on her statewide recognition in the Samsung "Solve for Tomorrow" contest.

Eastwood neighbor Micheal Klamann is once again championing the Angel Tree program to ensure that needy Bailey students and families have a wonderful Christmas.  Please contact Micheal at michealATbellsouthDOTnet, at 502 5454 or at 705 Setliff Place.  Please hurry!  Any and all contributions are helpful.

We would like to congratulate Bailey STEM teacher Julie Hasfjord, who was recently awarded as Tennessee’s winner in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest. She won for her “innovative approach to advancing STEM among her students, as well as making an impact in her community.”  To learn more about the contest and the prize, visit http://mnpschildrenfirst.com/2013/12/06/stem-teacher-is-a-finalist-for-school-tech-prizes-from-samsung/.
