Thank you to the many generous neighbors who provided financial contributions, in-kind contributions, and volunteer time that enabled Eastwood Neighbors to meet the public notice requirements for our neighborhood's Conservation Zoning Overlay expansion application!
Now that our neighborhood has met those public notice requirements, it is time to prepare for the three public hearings where the expansion will be considered. All neighbors are encouraged to participate in the hearings to express your opinion, whatever that opinion might be.
The first public hearing is the Metro Historic Zoning Commission hearing at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 19th. That hearing will take place at the Sonny West Conference Center in the Howard Office Building at 700 Second Avenue South. There is free parking at the Howard School complex. Go downstairs and to the right.
The second public hearing is the Metro Planning Commission hearing on at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 27th. That hearing will take place at the same location.
The third and final public hearing is the Metro Council public hearing on at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, April 1st. That hearing will take place at the Metro Courthouse at 1 Public Square.
